Sign up to compete in the Founder’s Day BBQ Rib Cook-Off, hosted by Granite Park Leader, Tara McKenna!
Competition Details:
– Competitors may arrive as early as 6:00 a.m. to set up.
– Each participant will be assigned a 10×10 space.
– Entrants must provide their own BBQ, canopy tent, and supplies. (No open flames permitted under a canopy.)
– First through 3rd place prizes will be awarded!
Rules:
– Ribs will be judged based on appearance, taste, and texture.
– Only pork ribs are allowed – either baby back or spare ribs.
– All cooking must be done on-site. Pre-cooking before arrival is not permitted; however, prior prepping and trimming are allowed.
– Propane, pellet, and charcoal cooking methods are acceptable.
– Turn-in boxes will be provided and must be used for submitting ribs to the judges.
– Turn-in time is 12:00 p.m. sharp – no exceptions. An official clock will be used.
– Each entry must include one rib per judge, with only one entry allowed per person.
