A critical vote is underway in Verrado—and every resident’s voice matters. This vote will determine whether our HOA retains the ability to regulate street parking within the community. If not enough residents vote in favor—or if we fail to reach the required quorum—we lose that authority permanently.
What’s at Stake?
Without HOA control of our neighborhood streets, we turn that power over to the City of Buckeye. That may sound harmless at first, but the impact is real:
- RV’s, boats, and trailers could be parked indefinitely on residential streets.
- Inconsistent enforcement may lead to cluttered and unsightly curb appeal.
- Loss of neighborhood standards means lower property values over time.
- Decreased community pride—and less ability to hold neighbors accountable.
As many residents know, HOA rules can sometimes feel frustrating, but they exist to preserve the character, curb appeal, and consistency of our community. Without those tools, Verrado’s unique charm could quickly fade, as will all our property values!
What Are You Voting On?
The vote is on HB 2298, a law that affects whether the HOA can continue to regulate public roadways (like street parking) within Verrado. If we don’t affirm the HOA’s ability to enforce these rules, we can never go back.
That means even if problems arise—like long-term RVs parked on the street—there would be no community mechanism to resolve them.
Why It Matters to You
Even if you’re okay with someone parking overnight or for a few days, this vote ensures long-term protection from vehicles being left indefinitely on your street.
More than that, this is about protecting the value of your home and the quality of life that brought so many of us to Verrado in the first place.
How to Vote
Voting is quick and easy—it takes less than 3 minutes:
- Check your inbox for an email from the Verrado Community Association sent on Tuesday (April 18) with your unique voting link.
- Click the link and follow the instructions to cast your vote.
- That’s it—you’ve protected your investment and your neighborhood.
If you missed the email, search for “Verrado Community Association” in your inbox or spam folder. You can also contact the HOA office for assistance.
If You Don’t Vote, We Lose This Right—Forever
We only get one chance. If we don’t get enough votes, or the vote fails, there is no do-over. The authority to enforce street parking will be gone—for good.
Let’s protect what makes Verrado special. Vote today.
