Construction is finishing on the buildings that will comprise Verrado’s Sunrise Market, our community’s new 38,000 sq ft center that will feature first-to-market dining & fast-casual food restaurants and shops. The developer anticipates that they’ll have the Market ready before much longer and originally announced a Grand Opening of the Center in October 2024…but if you’ve driven by there you can see that October opening is a stretch and we’ll post their opening dates as we learn about them. Sunrise Market at Village Street and Sunrise Lane will mirror Verrado’s pedestrian-friendly Main Street located in the same area. The developer states that Sunrise Market will have plenty of greenery and trees, with sculptures and murals designed to provide inspiring community spaces for residents to gather and enjoy. Sunrise Market is already 70% leased and with many local Verrado residents as tenants — our home town feeling will continue to be genuine!
Here’s the list of confirmed tenants (and we can’t wait):
Haymaker Restaurant – Replaces the originally announced Copper & Sage Gastropub – Earlier reports stated that this location will be a 2-story 5,000 sq ft restaurant pub with rooftop seating, wine and champagne by the glass (and bottle), locally brewed beer, small plates…and most of their locations are open until 1 am. Haymaker’s should become a new late-night gathering place for Verrado residents to ‘wine’ down right in the center of community.
Ropers Provision Steakhouse – Replaces the previously announced Nosh Restaurant & The Hemingway Cocktail Bar – More info on this new establishment coming soon (as soon as they release it).
W & Z Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar – This Asian Bistro has Soup, Salads, Appetizers, Appetizers From Sushi Bar, Regular Rolls or Hand Rolls, Vegetable Maki, Nigiri Sushi Or Sashimi, Special Rolls, Plate From Sushi Bar, Party Platters, Poke Bowl, Noodles and Rice, Tempura, Teriyaki, House Specials, Taste Of China, Taste Of South East Asia, Vegetables, Diet Menu, Gluten Free, South East Asia Cuisine Lunch, Taste of China Lunch, Japanese Bento Boxes Lunch, Lunch Sushi Bar, Lunch Roll Special, Side Order, Dessert, Delicious food.
West Rose Wine Tasting Room – a place for Verrado residents and visitors to explore new wines, find fresh takes on old favorites, or enjoy the latest trend. The 1500 sq ft Tasting Room provides tasting experiences, relaxed afternoons accompanied by different musicians, and features local artists’ work and a unique, rotating selection of wines. Twelve rotating varieties will be offered, including local brewery guest taps for beer enthusiasts. Owners Shannon and Chad “Swift” Roberson have been active Verrado residents since 2020, recognizing the need for a unique venue for a West Valley wine tasting experience. EDITOR’S NOTE: Seems like a fine place to waste away the day.
BOSA Donuts & Coffee – We like Basha’s freshly made donuts, but BoSa is about to give them a run for their money because BoSa is home to the best donuts in Arizona, where classic and fancy donuts are done right. What’s a good donut without a good cup of java—BoSa got you covered. Known as the Valley’s classic donut shop with over 24 locations, BOSA will serve up fluffy donuts, cinnamon rolls, apple fritters, eclairs, coffee drinks, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, fruit smoothies and hot cocoa.
Degino Coffee Bar – the delicious Degino food truck gets a permanent 700 sq ft location in the middle of Verrado. It’s a locally based, family business owned by third generation coffee plantation owners. “During the pandemic, my wife and I were determined to keep the family tradition going while the world was shutting down. We told each other, let’s keep the dream alive.” That’s when the couple established a mobile coffee trailer that has been serving the Verrado community for three years. “We are delighted for this exciting new opportunity to serve our friends and neighbors in Verrado at Sunrise Market,” he added.
Bobazona – a 1200 sg ft shop selling Boba Teas & Gelato drinks and desserts. Bobazona will bring its locally owned “bubble tea” shop serving boba, tea, coffee, slush and energy drinks to Sunrise Market. Boba is a popular cold-served drink that includes tapioca or fruit-flavored pearls crafted in a refreshing variety of flavors. Their mission is to be the go-to place for refreshing drinks so whether you need something sweet, refreshing, and/or energizing, Bobazona (Boba + Arizona) will be the place for you!
Thrive Swim & Thrive Shop – the resident owned and operated bike rental truck becomes a retail store. Thrive is a full-service pool cleaning company and pool equipment supply store. But that’s not all. Thrive will help you get your ride on with a full selection of skateboards, scooters, bicycles, hats, sunglasses, watersports accessories, and full-service bike repair.
Studio Linea – from Goodyear, the West Valley’s premier salon suite destination where you’ll feel right at home in this busy, creative and modern environment.
Signature Barber Shop – Scottsdale, Chandler, and soon Verrado. The classic barber shop in modern life. To sit back, enjoy an upscale haircut, to an old fashioned straight razor shave and more. A cut above the rest!
Honey GO Nail Salon – because you just can’t get enough nail salons in Verrado.
Torch + Kiln – A full service art jewelry studio, contemporary gallery and retail space providing metal-smithing and enameling classes, exclusive workshops, permanent jewelry, and experiential shopping that supports both artisans and the community. Opening in early 2025.
Manna Movement Pilates – no pain, no gain – now we’ll have another place nearby to help you stay healthy and fit.
