Make room for Buckeye Commons WEST.
More restaurants, drive-thru’s, retail, medical…and a big fitness center!
From the developers that are bringing us the Buckeye Commons / Costco Super Center, there will be a new Buckeye Commons West going up across the street on the west side of Verrado Way. It’s a 42-acre site featuring six buildings ranging from 2.2KSF up to 40KSF that should be completed in late 2024.
We’ve lived in Verrado for 3 years so I can only imagine how this rush of new commercial development is either a blessing or a curse for longer-time residents. I’m excited about the new 4 story Marriott Hotel set to open early 2023 at Marketside West across from Culver’s. The same hotel owners now plan on building another 4 story hotel at Buckeye Commons West, this one will be a 100 room Hampton Inn & Suites. Construction of the hotel will start in Q3 2023 and opening in Q2 2024.
But there’s more…
Besides the new hotel, there will be at least 3 new sit-down restaurants, another drive-thru, a bunch of retail stores, a convenience store, a new FITNESS CENTER and a 2-story Medical Office Building called Roosevelt Medical Commons – which will be a stone’s throw away from the soon-to-be-built 27 acre Abrazo Hospital Campus and a short hop across the freeway to the new 330K sq ft Banner Health Hospital.
Don’t you agree that ADOT should be expanding the I-10 to 8 lanes and not just the 6 lanes being constructed for the past 1+ years that has disrupted all our lives.
