Sunrise Market, our highly anticipated new retail center in Verrado, is nearing completion and is set to open in early December 2024. Located at the southeast corner of Village Street and Sunrise Lane, this 35,000-square-foot development aims to enhance our community’s shopping and dining experiences. Unlike the announced Verrado Marketplace on McDowell that just broke ground, our neighborhood Sunrise Market seems really special with many unique businesses you won’t see elsewhere. It compliments our established Main Street shops down the block, and together, these merchants really deliver on the home-town vibe that attracted many of us to live here.
Development Timeline
After much delay, construction of Sunrise Market began in mid-2022, with an initial opening projected for late 2023. However, due to construction delays, the launch was postponed to October 2024 in time for our Fall Festival. Further adjustments have now set the grand opening for early December 2024 and stores will be opening on an individual basis as soon as they are ready.
