Banners of the Brave
As part of the city’s annual Veterans Day Tribute, Goodyear proudly unveils the Banners of the Brave Light pole Banner Program, a heartfelt initiative honoring the courage, service, and sacrifice of our local military community. From mid-October through mid-November, banners featuring the faces and stories of Goodyear veterans will be proudly displayed throughout Civic Square Park. Each banner highlights the veteran’s name, branch of service (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, or Space Force), years of service, and a photo. The program is open to individuals who were honorably discharged from the U.S. Armed Forces, including those who have given their life in service. Nominees must be current or former Goodyear residents or have family who resides in Goodyear.
