Join us for a vibrant and creative event sponsored by APS. Watch the sidewalks come to life at Chalk Art in the Park! Community members and professional artists alike are invited to participate in creating chalk art. Get creative at our tie dye station, groove to the beats of a live DJ, enjoy delicious food from a selection of food trucks, and soak up the lively atmosphere with family and friends.
Call for Artists
We are seeking professional artists, community and family artists, and high school teams to showcase their creativity on the pavement. This is a unique opportunity to transform the park’s walkways into stunning works of art. Chalk will be provided, but feel free to bring your own preferred supplies. You’re free to create based on your own imagination! Work must be appropriate to view by the general public.

- Prizes: Professional Artists will receive a $200 stipend for event participation. People’s Choice Awards will be given for the best professional artwork.
- Submissions for professional artists close October 20, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
- Community/Family Artists
- Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, grab some chalk, bring the family, and have fun creating together. Community squares are 3ft x 3ft.
- Prizes: People’s Choice Award will be given for the best community artwork.
- Secure your spot! Submissions open throughout the event.
- High School Cup Challenge
- Calling all high school teams: Compete in the High School Cup Challenge! Represent your school and vie for the coveted trophy.
- Prizes: Winning team will receive the traveling trophy and bragging rights for the year.
- Submissions for high schools close October 20, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
