Abrazo Health is embarking on an exciting phase of development with the construction of a new medical campus adjacent to Verrado, marking a significant step forward in healthcare provision for one of the fastest-growing areas in the U.S. The new 27-acre campus, strategically located near the southwest corner of I-10 and Verrado Way, is designed to cater to the burgeoning healthcare needs of the area, offering ambulatory services, medical offices, and an acute care hospital.
The development kicks off with a three-story, 60,000-square-foot medical office building, a project spearheaded by Dallas-based Cambridge Holdings Inc., with leasing managed by Transwestern’s Phoenix office. This building will house a diverse range of tenants including orthopedics, cardiology, spine, primary care, urology physician practices, and physical therapy, among others, emphasizing Abrazo Health’s commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare services. The campus is also set to include additional specialties and services, aimed at bringing quality, first-class healthcare closer to home for Buckeye residents and the surrounding community.
Hans Driessnack, CEO of Abrazo West Campus, and Brian Elisco, Abrazo Health Market CEO, underscored the importance of the new campus as a long-term commitment to the region, promising to meet the healthcare demands of its rapidly growing population. Buckeye Mayor Eric Orsborn lauded the initiative, anticipating significant economic and health benefits for the area.
The Buckeye campus complements Abrazo Health’s existing facilities in the West Valley, including the Abrazo Buckeye Emergency Center and the Abrazo West Campus, a 216-bed Level 1 Trauma and Stroke Center in Goodyear, reinforcing the network’s presence as a pivotal healthcare provider in the region.
This expansion reflects Abrazo Health’s dedication to improving the quality of life for the citizens of Buckeye and beyond, promising a future of enhanced healthcare accessibility and economic growth.
