Verrado residents don’t have to drive to Flagstaff to this holiday season to enjoy frolicking in the winter sport of ice skating (and don’t you wish we could have done this in August). We have two holiday ice skating rinks within a short drive of our community in Goodyear and Peoria:
City of Goodyear GSQ RinQ
The RinQ is a holiday experience to enjoy with your entire family. Glide into the ice-skating season on our synthetic ice-skating rink starting December 6! Visit our website for details. Located at GSQ Civic Center – 1900 N. Civic Square, Goodyear, AZ.
Glide into the holiday season on our synthetic ice skating rink from December 1 to December 30 at Goodyear Civic Square!
Session Times (30 minutes per skater)
- December 1 through December 30
- Friday-Sunday from 5-9 p.m.
Closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day
- The Rinq is free for all residents and non-residents. No pre-registration is required! Simply drop-in during event hours, sign The Rinq Waiver, and you are ready to skate!
- Ice skates rentals will be available to use at no charge. Skate sizes range from a Toddler size 7, youth size 8 to an adult size 13.
- Each session is 30 minutes, enjoy gliding around The Rinq for half an hour!

Kids & adults are invited to partake in a timeless holiday tradition – outdoor ice skating on our real ice rink! Make magical memories with your loved ones as you glide through an unforgettable winter wonderland. All skill levels are welcome, whether you’re performing pirouettes or strapping on skates for the first time. Skate hours from 4:00 pm to 9:45 pm.
RETRO SKATE NIGHT (FRIDAYS)
Every Friday from November 8 – 29 and January 10 – 17 from 6pm – 9:45pm, Skate Westgate will transform into a nostalgia-inducing destination. Get jiggy in your ‘80s or ‘90s threads and accessories while you glide & slide to the tunes of our mix master. Best-dressed skater will win a totally tubular prize.

Tickets can be purchased near the rink in Fountain Park. Skating sessions are on a first-come, first-served basis. We accept credit cards (Visa/Mastercard) only.
ADULTS/CHILDREN: $24 (includes skate rental), $19 (bring your own skates)
TODDLERS: $19 (includes double-blade ice skate rental, sizes 9T – 12T only)
MILITARY: $19 with proper ID (includes skate rental)
SEASON PASS: $155 (includes skate rental)
