With all the tree lights a glistening on Main Street it’s beginning to look a lot like its holiday time here in Verrado. It’s one of our community’s favorite times of the year to celebrate one of the most favorite holidays of the season with lots to do here and near. If you are new to Verrado just wait until you see the Holiday Decorated Homes around our community. People drive for miles to view but its right here for us to enjoy without transversing the I-10.

The Main Events
Santa Experience – Saturday, Dec. 6 | 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. | Sunday Dec 7 | 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. | The Center on Main
Visit the elves’ workshop and participate in a variety of festive holiday activities with some surprises along the way. Adaptive services will also be provided each day. Tickets are free, but pre-registration is required (on Verrado residents portal) | Verrado residents only
Registration info
– Select an entry time slot when you register.
– The total experience takes approximately 45 minutes to enjoy all activities.
– One ticket per family (max 8 people).
– Fifteen families can register per 15 minutes.
Verrado’s 20th Annual Tree Lighting Celebration – Saturday, Dec. 6 | 5 – 9 p.m. Main Street & Village Green
Don’t miss Verrado’s Annual Tree Lighting Celebration! Gather with neighbors to kick off the most magical time of the year during this charming holiday tradition — the lighting of Verrado’s live tree.
There’ll also be performances from our Verrado Schools, booths from our Giving Tree partners, and a special visit from Santa!

We ♥ Christmas in the Park Tour – Saturday, Dec. 13 | 4 – 8 p.m. – Village Green
Stop by the Village Green to make spirits bright and get your fill of holiday cheer. Numerous parks will come together to celebrate community and fun. Enjoy each park’s themed display, hayrides, slides, food trucks, and laughter!
Holiday Home Decorating Contest – Registration: Dec 1 – 9 / Judging & Resident voting period: Dec. 11 – 16 / Winners announced: Dec 18
It’s time to shine, Verrado! Enter the Merry & Bright Home Decorating Contest and fill your block with festive cheer. From sparkling lights to whimsical ornaments, show off your holiday magic! Neighbors will vote for their favorites. Spread joy, sparkle bright, and let’s make this season merry and bright!
Prizes: Each winning home will receive a yard sign to display, bragging rights, and a gift card.
– 1st Place: $100 gift card
– 2nd Place: $75 gift card
– 3rd Place: $50 gift card
Rules: Please read these rules before registering:
- Participation is open to Verrado residents.
- No entry fee required.
- Verrado Assembly employees are not eligible to participate.
- You must register your house online by Dec. 9.
- The contest is for exterior decorations only, including decorations in windows that are visible from the outside of the home.
- Verrado residents will vote on their favorites based on curb appeal as viewed from the street only. Therefore, only those decorations located on the street side of the property will be judged (corner lots will be judged from both streets).
- Participants agree to have one or more photos of their decorated residence exterior posted on Verrado’s resident website, social media channels, and in resident e-newsletters.
- Participant agrees there will be no compensation of any kind for said posting or publication. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place winners based on the number of votes each.

Grab your dancing shoes and join friends and neighbors at the next Music on Main, featuring the Desert Knights Band. Formed in 1987, Doug Deatherage originally started the band as a local Arizona artist who was passionate about Western swing and the Southwestern sound. The Desert Knights Band has won several local and international awards throughout the years. Doug Deatherage has also won several awards for his talented music skills on the fiddle.
Verrado Holiday Craft Fair – Sunday, Nov. 23 | 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. | The Center on Main & Village Green
Join us for the Verrado Holiday Craft Fair and support local crafters. Enjoy festive food and a live DJ, while making progress on your holiday shopping list. Note: There will be no Farmers Market on this day.
Menorah Lighting – Sun, Dec. 14 from 4:30 – 7 p.m. | Nightly thru Dec 21 at 5:00 p.m. | Center on Main
Gather with neighbors to light the menorah every night at sundown throughout Hanukkah.
