Verrado homeowners will elect one owner director in this election for a 2-year term to serve on the 5 member VCA Board of Directors. Currently, there are 2 elected directors that represent the homeowners and currently 3 members appointed by DMB. Owner directors are elected by the members (all residential property owners within Verrado, including the Victory District, are members of the VCA).
The VCA is responsible for managing the community’s governance and operations, assessments and fees, landscape and maintenance of amenities and common areas including parks, and community guidelines, including compliance and design review applications.
The VCA is governed by a Board of Directors in accordance with the community’s governing documents including the Community Charter for Verrado (Charter) and Bylaws of Verrado Community Association, Inc. (Bylaws). All residential property owners within Verrado, including the Victory District, are members of the VCA.
The election of one owner director is being held now to fill the vacancy resulting from the completion of Owner Director Lance Miyatovich’s two-year term will coincide with the 2023 VCA annual meeting. This will ensure the two owner directors’ terms are staggered.
Verrado’s leadership is currently under founder control. This is the period of time in which our community’s founder, DMB, is entitled to appoint a majority of the members of the VCA’s Board of Directors (Charter, Chapter 2.1).

- Lance Miyatovich, Secretary (Owner elected)
- Dave Katz, Director (Owner elected)
In accordance with the Bylaws, Chapter 3.3(b)(ii), the composition of the Board of Directors will be changed based on the number of homes/units in the community or whenever the founder earlier determines:
- Initial Board: 3 founder-appointed directors
- 25% of anticipated units conveyed: 1 owner director, 2 founder-appointed directors
- 50% of anticipated units conveyed: 2 owner directors, 3 founder-appointed directors
- 90 days after termination of founder control period: 3 owner directors, 2 founder-appointed directors
- 1st annual meeting after termination of founder control period: 6 owner directors, 1 founder-appointed director
- Termination of founder membership: 7 owner directors
